Case Studies

A Leading Global Provider of End-To-End Digital Consumer Connections and Experiences — Sitecore — Required a US-Based CIO

Situation

Beaumont Group was asked to support a leading international digital experience firm with a broad range of leading international clients to recruit a CIO who was to be based in the Eastern United States.

The successful candidate needed to be someone with large company experience, while also having an entrepreneurial mindset. This candidate profile would contribute to enabling the client company to continue its growth trajectory and scale from a mid-sized to larger organization.

The Approach & Result

Beaumont Group undertook a search to uncover a broadly diverse slate of qualified candidates. We partnered closely with the client’s leadership team — the CEO, CHRO and COO — in the broad search, identifying a top female candidate who we successfully recruited into this highly visible and challenging role.

Outcome

This candidate met all of the required criteria and today continues to drive the organization forward in meeting its business and growth objectives.

International Pharmaceutical Group Retains Beaumont Group to Discover a Greater China CFO

Situation

The goal of the search was to find a replacement for the incumbent Greater China CFO. The ideal candidate had to be a Chinese National, fluent in French with experience in the headquarters of a French MNC, versatile finance experience in mainland China, as well as within a complex industrial environment. This was to include experience with joint ventures with state-owned partners.

We worked on a tight schedule as the current CFO would retire 8 months later, and the new hire had to spend a month in Europe prior to onboarding in China to ensure a proper hand-over.

The Approach & Result

After analysing the corporate culture of our client, the key factors for success and mapping related organisations matching the profile, the Beaumont group team submitted six qualified and motivated candidates within three weeks.

All six candidates were invited by the client for the first round of interviews, four to the second round, at the end of which the client informed us of his preference for one highly qualified candidate.

Outcome

Beaumont Group supported both parties to reach an agreement during a fair negotiation, including relocation from Beijing to Shanghai and an onboarding date earlier than the expected timing set from the client.

The selected candidate met all of the original criteria for the search as a Chinese National native Mandarin speaker while also fluent in English and French. The successful candidate had over 15 year’s experience with a French industrial business including Operational Control in the headquarters in France.

Beaumont Group’s Journey To Support A Leading Medical Devices Manufacturer In Belgium To Recruit A Senior Director, Customer Services

Situation

Beaumont Group Belgium partnered with a leading listed medtech business on a journey to identify and hire the perfect Senior Director, Global Customer Services.

The global customer services function had a need to professionalize into a state of the art, automated function. The request was to build a diverse shortlist of candidates both on gender and nationality. The company’s growth with international B2B customers requited a faster and more globalized customer service support function.

The Approach & Result

Beaumont Group set up an international delivery team and conducted a thorough search across different countries into a pre-agreed target list of suitable companies running mature, state of the art customer services functions. Within four weeks interviews were conducted at the client’s Brussels HQ.

The chosen candidate was a female Chinese executive, who has been living in the UK and the Netherlands over the last decade and was working for a global Supply Chain Services provider. Our customer offered the candidate a global role, a clear career progression versus her previous EMEA accountability.

Outcome

Our client was extremely pleased with the service provided by Beaumont Group. The quality of the international and gender diverse candidates we were able to identify and the rapidity of the process were very much appreciated. Consequently, we have been appointed as one of our client’s international preferred Executive Search suppliers.

Top Italian Luxury Brand Partners with Beaumont Group to Build Inhouse Digital Capabilities

Situation

A leading Italian luxury fashion brand had been working internally to build from the ground up a world class, multidisciplinary team to engineer an omnichannel consumer journey, from content, social marketing, integrated supply chain and e-commerce.

The client was making slow progress due to the highly competitive candidate-driven environment, as well as an approach that was not very flexible in the talent requirements and salary budgets. Additionally the CIO was heavily involved in the recruitment process that was taking considerable time away from other key strategic initiatives of the company.

The Approach & Result

Beaumont Group was brought in to advise the team on a more effective search strategy and begin to source candidates for the team.

Beaumont Group delivered a shortlist ahead of the original timeframe agreed and presented a diverse slate of highly qualified candidates across the stated need.

Outcome

Beaumont Groups’ involvement resulted in the CIO only needing to be involved in the closing phase of the process thus allowing focus on other critical matters.

The client hired eight people from CDO to other subject matter experts as part of a  team build. This enabled the client to achieve their business goals on time.

Journey to Recruit a Chief Financial Officer for an International Financial Services Firm

Situation

Beaumont Groups German office was engaged by a leading international financial services firm to search for a CFO to manage their international business in Germany and five Eastern European countries with a total of approximately 6,000 employees.

The new CFO was to be based in Germany with a team of 30 across the region.

The Approach & Result

Beaumont Group began a DE&I search focused on identifying candidates from across the region with significant international exposure and experience in the financial industry.

Outcome

Within a brief time frame we were able to identify twelve highly qualified candidates. The client, after careful review and consideration, selected a female finance leader with all of the necessary qualifications and experience.

Presenting a diverse slate of candidates was a central element of the mandate and we achieved this goal quickly and effectively. The client has been very happy with the outcome and our ability to meet their requirements in a short period of time.
